Harvard mba admission essays and application deadlines for 2013
The Harvard Business School just released its MBA admission essays and application deadlines.
The deadlines for the three rounds of the MBA program are as follows:
Round 1
Deadline: October 1, 2010
Notification: December 14, 2010
Round 2
Deadline: January 11, 2011
Notification: March 29, 2011
Round 3
Deadline: TBD*
Notification: TBD*
Written Application
To apply for the Harvard Business School MBA Program, we ask you to assemble and prepare a variety of materials that will help us assess your qualifications. Remember, all materials must be submitted to HBS online. The following serves as a preview of what you need to prepare.
Application Components
The application for the MBA Class of 2013 consists of the following:
- Responses to the four application essay questions (see below)
- Current resume
- Three recommendations (must be submitted online)
- Self-reported transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate academic institutions attended (full- or part-time)
- GMAT or GRE scores from a test taken January 1, 2006 or later (and TOEFL IBT or IELTS score, if applicable, from a test taken January 1, 2009 or later)
- Signed HBS Community Values statement
- Signed Statement of Application Integrity
- Nonrefundable U.S. $250 application fee (credit card only)*
- Interview (by invitation only)
*College seniors pay a reduced fee of $100.
The School will verify application information and reserves the right to withdraw any offer of admission already made if there is any discrepancy between the self-reported information and information provided through verification.
Harvard MBA application essays topics
Question 1 (600 words):
What are your three most substantial accomplishments and why do you view them as such?
Question 2 (400 words):
What have you learned from a mistake?
Please respond to two of the following (400 words):
1. What would you like the MBA Admissions Board to know about your undergraduate academic experience?
2. What is your career vision and why is this choice meaningful to you?
3. Tell us about a time in your professional experience when you were frustrated or disappointed.
4. When you join the HBS Class of 2013, how will you introduce yourself to your new classmates?
Students applying for a joint degree with Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Kennedy School must provide an additional essay (400 words):
How do you expect the joint degree experience to benefit you on both a professional and personal level?
All essays must be single-spaced.
*According to the HBS Admissions Blog, the Round 3 deadline and notification dates will be finalized “in early July,” as the Admissions Committee determines an appropriate overlap with their 2+2 application timeline.

Hello Webmaster, I noticed that http://collegeapplicationessay.net/archives/harvard-mba-admission-essays-and-application-deadlines-for-2013.html is ranking pretty low for some keywords, this may be due to the new Google Panda update, or it could be due to a variety of other factors. I’m sure you already know about On-page SEO, where Google cares highly about proper formatting of various H1/H2/H3 tags, having your main keyword appear in the beginning of your post and having your post end with the keyword, along with having keyword related alt tags and very relevant LSI. However, you do not seem to have the proper Keywords or relevant Keywords in your posts and in the website. Right now you need a tool or plugin that will allow you to check on Keyword insights, search trends and check for backlink analysis and to find out your Keyword competition.
